Process

Five steps, no surprises.

Every job runs the same way. We don't change the process because the house is old or the client is nervous — we run it the same way every time so nothing slips through the cracks.

  1. 01

    Site walk

You call or fill out the form. We book a time inside the same week, come look at the project in person, and take measurements and photos. Site walks are free inside Jefferson County. We'll be honest on the walk — if the project is out of our scope or if you'd be better off hiring a specialist, we'll tell you before we leave.

  2. 02

    Itemized quote

Inside a week you get a written quote with labor hours × $50/hr, an itemized materials list with quantities and prices, trip charge, haul-off, and a 10% contingency line. Nothing hidden. If the scope changes mid-job we send a written change order before we do the work — never after.

  3. 03

    Permits and prep

Once you sign, we pull permits ourselves through Louisville Metro Construction Review. For overlay-district work we handle the Landmarks Commission COA process. We schedule the start date, order long-lead materials, and set up dumpster and porta-john if needed.

  4. 04

    Build

Same crew every day. Progress photos texted at end of each week. We work 7:30a–4:30p on weekdays — no random Saturday hammering, no dawn cement mixers. If we hit something behind a wall that changes the scope, we stop, tell you, and price it in writing before continuing.

  5. 05

    Close-out

Final walkthrough with you. Punch list gets a hard deadline. All permits closed with the inspector. Every appliance manual, paint chip, and warranty document handed over in a folder. Final invoice cross-referenced to the original quote so you can see hours-actual vs. hours-quoted.

Payment schedule

We don't ask for large deposits. Nobody who's good at their job needs one.
